This October Instagram will be celebrating its 12th birthday and is the 7th most visited website in the world. According to Semrush, based on total website traffic, Instagram is one of the world’s top 10 most-visited websites globally, with 2.9 billion total visits per month. That’s a lot of eyeballs and with that, it’s important as a small business to format your profile properly to get more clients. And that’s our discussion for today, “Optimizing your Instagram Profile for More Leads.”
Here are 5 ways to better optimize your Instagram profile:
- Your handle – this is searchable, if you are not using your name, make sure you have top keywords in it in relation to your business
- Your Name – this is also searchable, with top keywords and a name so people know who you are and better connect, ex. mine says Adrian Branding and Marketing Coach
- Your IG Bio – what do you do, who do you serve, what makes you special, any achievements? Try to find an abbreviated way to list all of this
- Your Link – I love link tree
- Your Highlights – use this as a mini-website, include reviews, past work, services, pricing, contact info
